Overview

The PKCS Certificate simply allows an SSL connection to take place with the ISRC Web server. it DOES NOT Allow you automatically log in to webmail as a login token. The ISRC Web server has been configured to only allow SSL Connections from machines which present an ISRC-signed PKCS12 Certificate, which you are about to install.

Once the SSL connection has been established, you will be able to then enter your username and password for the mail server on the webmail page itself, within an SSL session. If you lose your certificate, it can be revoked by speaking with the lab staff. If you leave it on a public machine, it means that users have access to the login page to webmail, and not your e-mail account (unless you chose to save your username and password, which you should NEVER do).
